The North American market has posted steady recovery over the past month. Expanding aggregate quarrying and construction waste recycling projects across the US, together with steady output growth at gold, silver and non-ferrous metal mines in Canada, have driven rising high-end demand for wear parts used in mining crushers and hydraulic shovels.
Unlike markets focused on large-volume basic orders, North American buyers prioritize long-service-life, low-wear and composite-type wear accessories. Original OEM wear parts feature high pricing and lengthy lead times, prompting a growing number of local mines and quarries to switch to China-sourced premium products including TiC tungsten carbide composite wear parts, hardfaced wear liners and forged reinforced bucket teeth. Such components effectively cut equipment downtime and long-term maintenance costs. In the crushing segment, small-batch customized orders for complete consumable sets of impact, cone and jaw crushers keep climbing, with full compatibility for all mainstream European and American imported crushing machines.
As North America enters its peak season for mining and infrastructure construction in summer, demand for equipment maintenance in aggregate crushing and open-pit mining will further expand. Market penetration of premium long-life replacement wear components will keep climbing, enabling Chinese high-end mining wear parts to strengthen their competitive edge in North America’s high-end market.
