From May 7 to 11, 2023, the 21st China International Foundry Expo was grandly held in Tianjin. As a barometer of industry development, this exhibition holds even greater significance, aiming to accelerate the smooth operation of all segments in the upstream and downstream of the basic manufacturing process and (support the acceleration of high-quality development in China’s manufacturing industry).
In this year’s Government Work Report during the “Two Sessions,” the nation unveiled new requirements for high-quality development and continuously released policy dividends to persistently promote industrial transformation and upgrading. Since its inception in 1987, the China International Foundry Expo has a successful history of 36 consecutive years. The decision to return to northern China and choose Tianjin as the host city after a four-year interval was made to accelerate industry integration, strengthen foundations and stabilize supply chains, and better meet the urgent needs of foundry enterprises in northern cities. Faced with the urgent task of repairing and smoothing the supply and demand of the upstream and downstream industrial chains, enterprises in the industry require an international large-scale exhibition platform that can gather resources from all parties at home and abroad for exchange and对接 (connection), to lead and drive the industry’s green, intelligent, and transformative upgrading rhythm and pace.
Casting can be considered the most fundamental process category in the mechanical industry, playing an extremely important role in supporting and ensuring the development of the manufacturing industry. Doing a good job in basic processes is crucial for the security and stability of the equipment manufacturing industry’s supply chain, the industry’s upgrading and transformation, and the high-quality development of many industries, especially the mechanical equipment manufacturing industry. Similarly, it is also the common aspiration of practitioners in the foundry industry.
This year, the Zhejiang exhibition group collectively set up a 360-square-meter booth, with 18 outstanding Zhejiang enterprises participating, including those in steel casting, iron casting, precision casting, foundry raw and auxiliary materials, and equipment. The aim is to learn from each other’s experiences, promote industry progress, and boost enterprise and national economic development; promote research on focal and hot issues among all parties, and enhance the social influence of basic industries; further advance the high-quality development of basic manufacturing, especially the equipment manufacturing industry.
Zhejiang Hongma Casting Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Huasheng Metal Products Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Jisi Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd., and Jinhua Wanliyang Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. participated in the casting evaluation. After review by industry experts from the exhibition organizers, they were awarded the Gold Award for High-Quality Castings.
