From June 10 to 17, an 18-member delegation from Zhejiang’s foundry industry visited Germany to inspect factories and attend the quadrennial GIFA exhibition. The delegation included entrepreneurs, industry experts, and professors from foundries and related enterprises in Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Jiaxing, Huzhou, Shaoxing, Taizhou, Jinhua, and other regions.
On the afternoon of June 12, the delegation traveled over 300 kilometers to tour the experimental foundry factory of Aage GmbH – Aalener Gesellschaft für Leichtbauteile mbH. They were warmly received by the company’s executives. After a corporate presentation, members inspected production workshops to observe manufacturing processes firsthand. The delegation expressed great admiration for the German research team’s advanced technological development of aluminum alloy automobile wheel hubs. Members also visited the company’s laboratories in groups, with executives answering questions of interest.
On the morning of June 14, the delegation arrived in Düsseldorf to attend the International Foundry Trade Fair (GIFA), held every four years. This year’s exhibition featured four major themes: casting technology, castings, metallurgy, and heat treatment. It showcased the world’s most advanced foundry equipment and high-quality castings, attracting globally renowned manufacturers of foundry machinery, raw materials, and casting products due to its international influence. The quadrennial GIFA has become a premier platform for global foundry professionals to exchange ideas and network.
During the visit, Supervisor Li Weifeng, Executive Vice President Yang Chunfan, Vice Supervisor Guo Weishi, and Vice Chairman & Secretary-General Pan Dongjie of the Zhejiang Foundry Society, along with the entire delegation, accompanied Zhang Libo (President of the China Foundry Association)and Executive Vice President Gao Wei to witness the signing ceremony of a strategic cooperation agreement between Ningbo Xingyuan Zhuomei and Guangdong Yizumi at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center. A group photo was taken to commemorate the event.
This year, multiple Zhejiang-based enterprises attended the exhibition in Germany, including Hangzhou Heli, Jiashan Xin Hai, Zhejiang Jisi Aluminum, and Zhejiang Huasheng Metal, aiming to broaden their perspectives and explore business opportunities.
